About

Bugema University’s Kampala Campus, established in 2005, represents a significant expansion of the university’s mission to provide holistic Christian education in Uganda. Initially, the campus operated as an evening satellite center at the Uganda Union of Seventh-day Adventists Headquarters in Makerere, primarily serving working professionals seeking flexible learning schedules. In 2009, the university acquired a dedicated facility along Muganzi Awongererwa Road, off Bwaise–Kavule Road, providing a permanent home for the Kampala Campus.

The Kampala Campus was officially accredited by the National Council for Higher Education in 2017, affirming its commitment to academic excellence and adherence to national educational standards. It offers a range of undergraduate programs in Business, Social Sciences, Education (Arts), and Informatics and Computing. Postgraduate studies are conducted on Sundays and/or online, accommodating the diverse needs of its student body.

As the first of Bugema University’s satellite centers in Uganda, the Kampala Campus continues to embody the institution’s motto, “Excellence in Service,” by providing accessible, quality education to a diverse student population.
